GREASE DECEMBER 2007
its electrifying!
grease is the word

Bring out the bobby sox and relive the 1950’s

On December 8th, Goodrich Village Hall was converted into a High School Prom and resounded to the sounds of hit songs from Grease, Rock and Roll, and Soul music. This amazing opportunity to dance the night away was arranged by Goodrich Music, the organisation that successfully brought Paul Jones (ex Manfred Mann) to Goodrich in 2005, and followed this up with the astonishing evening with Georgie Fame and Sons in 2006. This year’s High School Prom is a fund raising event with the aim of providing a free festival of the very best of local music, in and around Goodrich, in Spring 2008.

Live music was provided by the members of Twisted Blues: Brian Fisher on vocals; Ray Whittaker on keyboards; Simon Tolley on saxophones; Tom Richardson on guitar; Andy Herbert on bass; and Jamie Farr on drums. In addition, Goodrich Music is delighted to have borrowed the amazingly talented Charlotte Hill from ‘Back to Broadway’ to take the part of lead female vocalist.

The Grease Band

She is interrupting her busy schedule with Back to Broadway, and her university studies, to appear in Goodrich and her contribution is not to be missed. Charlotte is a very talented Singer and Actress. She is a founder member of X-entricity Youth Theatre, where she has appeared as Peggy in Godspell, Gloria in Return to the Forbidden Planet, Anita in West Side Story and Fantine in Les Miserables. She has also performed in many different theatre groups and concerts as a supporting artiste and leading roles. The musicians from Twisted Blues are all accomplished and talented performers in their own right as well as being part of one of the leading bands in the region.
